ADVICE TO PARENTS

Dear Amazing Parents,

This pandemic has directly changed our system of education that even when schools finally reopen, it won’t be business as usual. I’m really happy that our schools are equally ready to take up the challenge that despite learners being at home, learning will still take place. That is because we (schools) believe that learning is not only confined to the four walls of the school. But we cannot achieve the desired result if our amazing parents do not cooperate with us.

We enjoin you to collaborate with your child’s school and the teachers so that you utilize the opportunities that this period presents.

Endeavor to sit with them while they are learning online or occasionally check on them while they are at it as some of them can be smart that if not watched may likely log out from the learning site and move onto another site either to watch music and dance or video. (Children will always be children)

Ensure your schedule is synchronized with their learning schedule. Sacrifice is all it will take and the sacrifice will be worth it because their future is more important than that film you will want to see, that friend you will want to chat with and that few minutes nap you will want to take.

This is a stressful time for most of us and I know how it feels to be overwhelmed by the thought of doing something you never imagined you would do. But look ahead at the end result, and you will be energized and the strength to carry on will come to you.

May God help us all. ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿฝ

warmest regards.

  1. I'm really impressed. This is a truest and realest reflection of some parents encounter with their Children at home in this challenging times.

I love the third and last paragraph (sacrifice and hope) as it tries to reaffirm and provide a panacea and elixir to parents and foster parents at this Challenging moment!

    Thank you Mary!
